If you haven’t seen it yet, the Motomaster Ron Fellows Karting Championship (MRFKC) released an updated schedule for the 2021 season and can be viewed here!

With Ontario re-opening soon and racing coming up fast, we return to our final two instalments of our profiles for 2020 MRFKC Champions. Up next is our 2020 Briggs & Stratton Cadet Champion, Major Makovskis!

Ten-year-old Major was consistent all year in a tight battle with second place class finisher Anthony Raducanoiu. But it was Major’s opening weekend sweep at Mosport Karting Centre, and consistent podium finishes for the last two events that earned him the title. Let’s see what he had to say!

Q: What was your favourite moment or memory from the MRFKC 2020 season?

I liked winning the championship, and it took until the very last lap of the last race to do it!

Q: What are your plans for karting in 2021? (i.e. who will you be racing with, and what are you looking forward to the most?)

I'm looking forward to seeing the new cart and driving it. We have been  always with PRO and will be with them this season.

Q: What are your personal or team goals for the 2021 season?

My goals are to get the fastest lap most of the time and come pole position most of the time.

Q: On another note, as motorsport starts to ramp up around the world what series (F1, NASCAR, IMSA, IndyCar, WEC, etc.) are you watching the most and why?

I'm mostly watching F1 because that's what I want to do when I grow up, also because I enjoy to watching it.
