Highlighting Our 2020 MRFKC Champions - Elias McKenzie
As we highlight our 2020 champions our next driver is the 2020 MRFKC Briggs Junior Lite Champion, Elias McKenzie. Elias had a memorable 2020 season, winning four out of six races on his way to the title.
Elias also noted, in his favourite moment of the season, when he was awarded the Champion Fine Tuned Award at Canadian Mini Indy. Elias had swept the weekend and the hard work, enthusiasm, and sportsmanship exhibited by him, his family, and team showed true spirit for competition which was undoubtedly noted by the MRFKC officials.

Q: What was your favourite moment or memory from the MRFKC 2020 season?
My favourite moment was when I received the Champion Fine Tuned award and TSN Hamilton interviewed me. I won the award by winning two days in a row with a lot of support from my coaches, trainers, mechanic, supporters and my parents.
Q: What are your plans for karting in 2021? (i.e. who will you be racing with, and what are you looking forward to the most?)
My plans for 2021 is to do my best, try my best, and to never give up.
Q: What are your personal or team goals for the 2021 season?
My goals for 2021 is to be smooth in the corners and to set a new track records.
Q: On another note, as motorsport starts to ramp up around the world what series (F1, NASCAR, IMSA, IndyCar, WEC, etc.) are you most looking forward to watching and why?
I'm looking forward to following F1 because I want to watch all the drivers race and I want to see the new F1 cars. I also would like to see Lewis Hamilton win and continue to set new F1 records.
Q: Is there anything you would like to add or mention?
I'm looking forward in having a safe and successful season.
